Last week the foundation of the Roozen Family Hospice Centre was poured.
In the photo, you see the walls of program rooms that will support grieving children and teens – a demographic that are often forgotten when we think of end-of-life or hospice care.
The entire lower level of the new hospice centre will be dedicated to support programs Pilgrims has established over the last 25 years.
“Having space that is thoughtfully designed, with purpose-selected furnishings, will enrich the experience of everyone that comes to us for support.
Children and teens who are grieving will be welcome to a space that is bright and textured with these young hearts in mind, ” Cheryl Salter Roberts, Manager, Grief Support Services.
From every individual donor to the committed engagement of construction partners, sub-consultants and trades – the community is stepping up to make this happen.
